The Kenya Navy has begun a joint maritime exercise in Mombasa, Kenya, with forces from the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Australia. This four-day exercise, named Operation Southern Readiness 2026 (K-OSR 26), aims to enhance interoperability and address maritime security threats in the Western Indian Ocean.

• This marks the first time Kenya has hosted the event.
