A daughter of a deceased Kenyan businessman is accused of forging her late father’s Will to disinherit her two sisters of property and billions of shillings held in bank accounts. The Milimani Court heard testimony from Kalpa Chandarana, who claims her sister, Dinta Devani Pathanja, forged the Will a month after their father's death in June 2019.

• Kalpa Chandarana testified her father, Balkrishna Ramji Haribhai Devani, originally distributed his estate equally among his three daughters: Kalpa, Dinta, and Shilpa.
• The alleged forged codicil, filed by Dinta, transferred vast shares in companies like Pelican Limited, Silverstar Properties, and Stanmore Development Limited to herself.
• Dinta Devani Pathanja, her husband Abhay Singh Pathanja, and two employees (Samuel Ngugi Ndinguri and Addah Nduta Ndambuki) are accused of conspiring to forge the codicil and fabricating minutes of a directors’ meeting in 2018 while the deceased was undergoing treatment.
• The accused denied the charges and were released on a bond of Sh3 million with a surety of the same amount or an alternative cash bail of Sh1 million.
