A man accused of murdering a Form Two student in Kilifi County has been sentenced to 20 years in jail.

• The accused, Lewis Kazungu Charo, pleaded guilty to manslaughter after initially denying murder charges.
• The victim, Faridah Changwa Julius, was 17 years old and a mother to an 11-month-old child.
• The crime occurred in June last year, and the sentence includes time served since June 13, 2025.
