Kenya is set to hold selection trials for the World Universities Cross Country Championships team this Saturday, March 2, at Southern Eastern Kenya University (SEKU) in Kitui. The trials aim to select 16 athletes (8 men and 8 women) to represent the country in the championships scheduled for March 14-15 in Casale Monferrato, Italy.
- 13 universities have confirmed participation in the selection process.
- KUSF Secretary-General Joan Adalo emphasized the goal to pick a strong team to maintain Kenya's dominance in middle and long-distance running.
- Selected athletes will undergo residential training at Kigari Teachers Training College in Embu before departing for Italy.
