The Kenyan government has announced that it will permanently preserve all local and international condolence messages received following the death of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, making them accessible to future generations in national repositories.

Odinga passed away on October 15, 2025, at the age of 80, in Kerala, India, due to cardiac arrest.
The compiled tributes, bound into volumes, will be housed at institutions including the Kenya National Archives and the Foreign Affairs Library.
Principal Secretary for Foreign Affairs Korir Sing'oei made the announcement at the Odinga family home in Karen, while also congratulating Ida Odinga on her nomination as Kenya's Ambassador to UNEP.
