The Kenya Universities and Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has outlined the upcoming university and college placement process, which is set to begin in March. Cut-off points for competitive courses are expected to rise due to an increased number of qualified students.
- Approximately 270,000 candidates scored C+ and above in the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams, up from 245,000 in the previous year.
- Chief Executive Officer Agnes Wahome explained that competition will be higher, with popular courses like medicine at top universities potentially seeing a rise of about 0.7 points.
- KUCCPS now opens the placement portal after students receive their results, providing detailed data from the previous year, including minimum entry grades and cut-off points, to help students make informed decisions.
