The Kenya Universities and Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has outlined the upcoming university and college placement process, which is set to begin in March. Cut-off points for competitive courses are expected to rise due to an increased number of qualified students.

Approximately 270,000 candidates scored C+ and above in the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams, up from 245,000 in the previous year.
Chief Executive Officer Agnes Wahome explained that competition will be higher, with popular courses like medicine at top universities potentially seeing a rise of about 0.7 points.
KUCCPS now opens the placement portal after students receive their results, providing detailed data from the previous year, including minimum entry grades and cut-off points, to help students make informed decisions.
