A multi-agency team led by NACADA conducted simultaneous raids on Tuesday afternoon in Kirinyaga County, seizing a large quantity of illicit and expired alcohol from three entertainment venues. These establishments are all owned by a single influential distributor who has been under investigation.

• Hundreds of bottles of suspected counterfeit vodka, some with unverified KRA stamps and much of it expired, were recovered.
• Dr. Anthony Omerikwa, NACADA Chief Executive Officer, stated this was a "precision-led" operation targeting a "long-standing person of interest" as part of a wider government crackdown.
• Two individuals found managing the outlets were arrested and are assisting with investigations, while the seized alcohol will be analyzed at the Government Chemist.
