The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has appointed Moses Ledama Sunkuli as its new acting Chief Executive Officer. He will serve in this capacity for six months while a permanent CEO is recruited.

• Moses Ledama Sunkuli previously served as the IEBC's director of electoral operations.
• His appointment follows the departure of Hussein Marjan, the previous CEO, by mutual agreement.
• A permanent Chief Executive Officer must be a Kenyan citizen, hold a degree, and have at least five years' proven management experience in relevant fields.
