The Baseball Federation of Kenya (BFK) is training sports teachers nationwide to introduce Baseball5 into the secondary school games calendar, targeting its popularization and talent development ahead of the Dakar Youth Olympics.

BFK, in collaboration with the Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA), is delivering training clinics to physical education teachers.
Kisii County was chosen as the pilot region for the training initiative.
Kenya is currently ranked ninth globally in Baseball5, with aspirations to reach the top five countries.
The training is crucial as Baseball5 will become an examinable sports subject in schools, providing necessary skills and knowledge to teachers like Roda Mong’ina from Tambacha Secondary School.
