National and Internal Administration Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has applauded the success of ongoing security operations in parts of Turkana, Laikipia, and the wider Kerio Valley. He stated that these interventions have significantly disrupted criminal activities, particularly banditry, and are yielding positive results.

Murkomen highlighted operations along the Turkana–West Pokot border, in Mukogodo Forest near the Laikipia–Isiolo boundary, and in parts of Samburu.
The Cabinet Secretary issued a stern warning that the government will deal decisively with those shielding criminals and address emerging criminal gangs across the country.
He commended the Church for its role in promoting peace and unity, emphasizing collaboration with religious institutions for regional stability.
