Following the conclusion of the National Novice Boxing Championships, Kenyan counties are preparing for their individual County Intermediate Championships over the next two weeks. This will serve as a selection process for boxers aiming to compete in the National Intermediate Boxing Championships scheduled for February 26-28 in Nairobi.
- Nairobi, Mombasa, and Kisumu branches will hold trials, with Vihiga County sending five boxers from last year's national event.
- Secretary General Musa Benjamin confirmed Nairobi's participation in the trials.
- Nakuru County will directly send its four finalists from the Nairobi Novices, as stated by Competitions Secretary Lemid Thiong’o.
