Following the conclusion of the National Novice Boxing Championships, Kenyan counties are preparing for their individual County Intermediate Championships over the next two weeks. This will serve as a selection process for boxers aiming to compete in the National Intermediate Boxing Championships scheduled for February 26-28 in Nairobi.

Nairobi, Mombasa, and Kisumu branches will hold trials, with Vihiga County sending five boxers from last year's national event.
Secretary General Musa Benjamin confirmed Nairobi's participation in the trials.
Nakuru County will directly send its four finalists from the Nairobi Novices, as stated by Competitions Secretary Lemid Thiong’o.
