The Ministry of Education has forwarded the names of 34 headteachers to the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) for administrative action due to discrepancies found in the School Data Verification Report. This move aims to address issues of data submission failures and inflated enrolment figures within the National Education Management Information System (NEMIS).

• 14 headteachers failed to submit student data, while 20 headteachers submitted inflated enrolment figures.
• Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamaba highlighted that these actions are crucial to protect public funds and ensure accountability.
• The verification exercise, which began in September 2025, also identified non-operational schools and lapses at the Sub-County level.
• 28 Sub-County Directors of Education and Quality Assurance officers are also facing administrative action, with cases to be submitted to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
