This new system aims to replace the current fragmented system for verifying SIM card ownership. Additionally, an investigation by Techish Kenya has debunked the 'Fuliza excuse' commonly used for withholding M-PESA funds sent in error. The investigation confirmed that Safaricom's system automatically unwinds these transactions, even if a Fuliza overdraft has already debited the money.
