Motorists on the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway should prepare for traffic disruptions due to the ongoing dualling of the Rironi-Mau Summit road. The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) will announce diversion routes to manage this temporary inconvenience, which is expected to last until June next year.

• The dualing project, costing Ksh200 billion, aims to resolve long-standing congestion issues between Nairobi and Western Kenya.
• Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen stated that disruptions are unavoidable but necessary for a lasting solution, assuring reduced traffic by June next year.
• To ensure safety and order, the government plans to deploy additional police officers along the highway and diversion routes, with Murkomen warning against overlapping.
