A coalition of civil society organizations, The Kenya Devolution Civil Society Organisations, is urging the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) to investigate allegations of bribery involving governors and senators.

The call follows claims by governors that they are solicited for bribes when appearing before Senate committees for questioning.
The lobby groups have also proposed an amendment to the law allowing accredited civil society organizations observer status in the proceedings of the Senate, National Assembly, and all 47 County Assemblies.
They demand that the Senate make public all proceedings, documents, and evidence related to these claims.
