The Kenya Union of Domestic, Hotels, Educational Institutions, Hospitals & Allied Workers (KUDHEIHA) national elections have been halted by the Employment and Labour Relations Court in Nakuru, following a petition alleging constitutional violations and intimidation of aspirants. This intervention creates a fresh leadership crisis for the powerful workers' union.

• The elections were suspended due to alleged procedural irregularities and intimidation tactics, particularly concerning the national secretary general office.
• Petitioner’s lawyer Tonge Yoya argued that the electoral process was compromised and failed to adhere to the KUDHEIHA constitution.
• Current Secretary General Albert Njeru is accused of non-compliance with constitutional requirements and intimidating rival aspirants, allegations he declined to comment on.
• The case is set for mention on March 12, 2026, at the Employment & Labour Relations Court in Nakuru.
