Nairobi County Senator Edwin Sifuna has announced the suspension of the Linda Mwananchi Tour in Mombasa County following a request from Muslim elders to observe the holy month of Ramadan, which runs from February 18 to March 18.

• The announcement was made on Saturday, February 21, in Kakamega County during a rally at Amalemba Grounds.
• The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party faction tour's most recent stop was in Kitengela, Kajiado County on February 15, where one person died from police gunshots and approximately 50 people sustained injuries.
• Another violent incident occurred at the Kakamega rally on February 21, resulting in the death of at least one suspected hired goon and injuries to several youths.
