Four Homa Bay County Assembly members (MCAs) have been removed from key committees following a clandestine meeting with Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo on February 6, 2026.

• A section of MCAs from Homa Bay, Kisumu, and Nairobi allegedly met with PS Omollo to discuss assisting President William Ruto's re-election campaign.
• The de-whipped MCAs include Vickins Bondo, Tony Otieno, Boaz Kiri, and Pauline Omogi.
• Assembly leadership claims the removals were procedural and aimed at enhancing efficiency, while the affected MCAs cite disloyalty and political reprisals, vowing to seek legal recourse.
