Supreme Court Judge Isaac Lenaola has been elected as the new President of the Residual Special Court for Sierra Leone (RSCSL). The election took place during a plenary session of judges held in The Hague, Netherlands.

• Justice Lenaola will serve a two-year renewable term as President.
• He previously held the position of Vice President of the RSCSL for the past 12 years.
• British Judge Justice Andrew Hatton was elected Vice President, and Justice Tonia Barnett from Sierra Leone was elected Staff Appeals Judge.
