An armed gang attacked Musanda Police Station in Kakamega County on the night of Friday, February 27, resulting in the death of one police officer and injuries to two others.

• One police officer was killed in the attack.
• The assailants, identified as members of an armed gang, also injured two other police constables and an officer's wife.
• The attackers stole two G3 rifles loaded with ammunition before fleeing on motorcycles.
