The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) has launched an investigation into a fatal helicopter crash in Mosop, Nandi County. The AS350 aircraft, registration 5Y-DSB, crashed around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday evening.

The helicopter was en route from Endebes to Mosoriot and had six people on board.
Among the fatalities was Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Kipyegon Ng’eno, as announced by National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula.
The Aircraft Accident Investigation Department (AAID) is tasked with determining the circumstances of the accident.
