Families are sharing the heart-wrenching stories of four victims who died in a February 28, 2026 helicopter crash alongside Emurua Dikirr Member of Parliament Johana Ng’eno. The victims, who were described as the "hope" and "breadwinners" of their families, had various plans to improve their loved ones' financial situations.

• President William Ruto promised to meet the needs of the affected families and pledged Sh2 million to each of the four families, also offering employment opportunities.
• The victims were identified as photojournalist Nick Kosgei, Kenya Forest Service officer Amos Kipngetich Rotich, teacher Carlos Robert Keter, and protocol officer Wycliff Kiprotich Rono.
• Families revealed that the deceased were actively involved in supporting siblings' education, constructing homes, and were on their way to fulfilling dreams before the fatal crash in Mosop, Nandi County.
