Over 30 pupils at Big Tree Comprehensive School in Kitale were hospitalized on Thursday, March 12, following suspected food poisoning after sharing mangoes.

• Over 31 pupils initially complained of stomach discomfort, with 23 requiring hospital treatment.
• Affected learners were taken to Wamalwa Kijana Teaching and Referral Hospital, where doctors confirmed symptoms consistent with food poisoning, potentially from pesticide contamination.
• The pupils are reported to be in stable condition and ready for discharge after receiving medication.
