EACC Chairperson David Oginde has issued a stern warning against normalizing corruption, likening the societal ill to a dangerous "snake under the bed" that threatens overall safety.

• Oginde cautioned that corruption, often rationalized as a "grease the wheels" mechanism, actually "adds sand to the system."
• The warning was delivered during the Kenya Leadership Integrity Forum (KLIF) Campus Edition at Pan Africa Christian University.
• The EACC has filed 133 asset recovery suits valued at approximately Ksh.25.71 billion and recovered Ksh.7.4 billion in the past three years.
