- Ksh14 billion has been added to the Naivasha to Malaba SGR extension, increasing its total allocation for the financial year to approximately Ksh30 billion.
- The Kenyan Treasury has enacted these changes in the first supplementary budget.
- Allocations for a digital surveillance network, locomotive wheelsets, and a new ticketing system on the current SGR phases have been cut.
