Nairobi residents have been warned to prepare for an intensification of rainfall starting Friday, March 20, and continuing through Monday, March 23, with the heaviest downpours expected over the weekend.

Rainfall accumulations are forecast to exceed 20 mm in 24 hours.
The Kenya Meteorological Department issued the heavy rainfall advisory.
Areas like Westlands, Dagoretti South, Kibra, Lang’ata, Kamukunji, Mathare, Roysambu, Ruaraka, and parts of Makadara are expected to be most affected, along with low-lying zones and informal settlements.
