Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki has strongly condemned the practice of hiring youth for political heckling and violence, asserting that young people are a vital resource for national development.

• The DP highlighted that these youth are often given as little as 100 shillings to disrupt political rallies or insult rivals online, without any genuine efforts to improve their livelihoods.
• Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki made these remarks at Alliance High Grounds, Kikuyu Constituency, Kiambu County during the graduation of 1,880 young people who received vocational training sponsored by the Kikuyu NG-CDF.
• The government is actively implementing various programmes, including affordable housing construction (employing 550,000), Kazi Mtandaoni (online jobs), and Kazi Majuu (overseas employment), to provide meaningful employment and skills for the youth.
