The U.S. streaming giant Netflix is reportedly seeking to re-enter the Russian market by registering its trademark. This move comes after the company suspended operations in Russia earlier due to the Ukrainian crisis.

• Netflix Inc. filed its trademark application with Rospatent (the Russian Federal Service for Intellectual Property) in March.
• If successful, the registration would allow Netflix to sell a range of products, including software, applications, headphones, and even humanoid robots in Russia.
• Netflix, the world's largest streaming service by subscriber numbers, had previously joined a wave of Western companies to halt services in Russia.
