The Kenyan government, through the Kenya Forest Service (KFS), has signed a framework agreement to restore Ngong Forest and improve community livelihoods.

• The initiative, part of the Ngong Forest Integrated Conservation and Livelihood Improvement Programme (ICLIP), includes planting 350,000 trees over three years and establishing a 1 million seedling tree nursery.
• Key signatories include Principal Secretary for Irrigation Ephantus Kimotho and Chief Conservator of Forests Alex Lemarkoko.
• Community benefits involve initiatives like beekeeping, clean cooking solutions, and renewable energy, alongside environmental stewardship programs for youth.
