Rapper-turned-politician Balendra Shah, popularly known as "Balen", has been sworn in as the new Prime Minister of Nepal following a significant election victory.

• Shah's three-year-old Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) secured 182 seats in the 275-member parliament.
• At 35 years old, Shah is the youngest prime minister in decades and the first Madhesi leader for the Himalayan nation.
• His immediate challenges include restoring political stability, creating jobs, and implementing the report investigating the recent anti-corruption protests that resulted in 76 deaths.
