SASRA is directing saccos to conduct offline backups and strengthen monitoring of ICT systems.
The advisory specifically targets the periods around Good Friday to Easter Monday (April 3 to April 6) and Labour Day (May 1 to May 3), when cyberattacks are more frequent.
Saccos utilizing ATMs, mobile money, internet banking, and third-party vendors are identified as particularly vulnerable.
