Kenyan midfielder Victor Wanyama has announced his retirement from professional football after a career spanning four countries and six clubs.

• The 34-year-old celebrated a career highlight as a UEFA Champions League runners-up with Tottenham Hotspur in 2016.
• Victor Wanyama, a former Harambee Stars captain, made 64 international appearances for Kenya.
• He plans to transition into coaching and is set to complete his UEFA A License this year.
