The Social Health Authority (SHA) has rolled out new medical tariffs for the Public Officers Medical Scheme Fund (POMSF) after negotiations with Level 5 and Level 6 hospitals. The new rates are expected to be implemented across all hospitals within 21 days.

• The new tariffs aim to incorporate market realities and operational costs for fair reimbursement.
• The scheme provides comprehensive medical coverage for public officers, including civil servants, teachers, and members of the disciplined services, along with their dependents.
• SHA CEO Mercy Mwangangi signed the statement announcing the tariff implementation, and the authority will now begin negotiations with Level 4 and Level 3 hospitals.
