Kenya is preparing to host its inaugural Health Security Convention in Mombasa from May 5 – 8, marking a significant step in its public health strategy.

• The convention, themed ‘Advancing Health Security Through Science, Innovation and Equity’, aims to strengthen health systems and enhance pandemic preparedness.
• Organized by the Kenya National Public Health Institute (KNPHI), it will convene policymakers, scientists, and various stakeholders.
• Kenya is shifting towards a prevention-led strategy to anticipate and mitigate health threats, positioning itself as a leader in East African public health security.
