Autopax has launched the Cheche electric motorcycle in Nairobi, featuring a network of 12 battery-swapping stations. This initiative brings together Autopax (Kenya), Kofa (Ghana), and TailG (China) to create an integrated electric transport system.

• The Cheche motorcycle allows riders to swap depleted batteries for fully charged ones in under 2 minutes at any of the 12 Kofa-operated stations.
• Key partners include Autopax (local assembly), Kofa (battery provision and station operation), and TailG (motorcycle manufacturing).
• With a capacity to carry up to 250kg, the Cheche can travel up to 100km on a full charge, aiming to reduce downtime for commercial boda boda riders.
