James Maina has been appointed the acting director general of the Kenya Vision 2030 Delivery Secretariat (VDS).

• James Maina brings 29 years of experience in public service, specializing in macroeconomic and national development planning.
• The appointment was announced by Dr Emmanuel Nzai, Chairman of the Kenya Vision 2030 Delivery Board, at the VDS offices in Nairobi.
• Maina previously played a key role in developing Kenya's Medium Term Plans (MTP III and MTP IV) under the Vision 2030 framework.
