The National Authority for the Campaign against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) has conducted a major raid in Kitui Town, seizing a significant quantity of counterfeit alcohol and arresting one suspect.

• 1,843 bottles of counterfeit alcohol and 80 litres of suspected ethanol were seized, valued at approximately Sh200,000.
• The operation involved NACADA officers and led to the arrest of the outlet's proprietor.
• NACADA emphasized heightened vigilance during school holidays to protect youth from substance abuse, with further nationwide operations planned.
