Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has inaugurated the new Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) Council, outlining a significant regulatory reform agenda for the health sector.

The KMPDC, chaired by Prof. Namenya Were, is tasked with safeguarding quality, safety, and ethical practice in line with Universal Health Coverage.
CS Duale emphasized strict adherence to performance contracts and highlighted ongoing reforms including the development of a clear Scope of Practice and the Quality of Care and Patient Safety Bill.
