✨ Key Highlights

The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) will introduce a new Primary Health Care (PHC) course across all its faculties, integrating it into its curriculum as a mid-level PhD equivalent.

The course development is a collaboration between KMTC and the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC).
Dr. Mohammed Abdulaziz, head of Africa CDC, highlighted KMTC's extensive reach and expertise as key to developing mid-level healthcare professionals with strong mental health competencies.
This initiative was announced during the second edition of the Mental Health Leadership Program at KMTC's Nairobi campus, running from April 20 to May 1, 2026.
