A wheelchair-bound man, Joseph Ochieng, has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the Nairobi Milimani court for killing a fellow street dweller on the night of December 5, 2025.

• The victim, an unknown adult male, died after being struck on the head with a piece of wood.
• Joseph Ochieng, also known as Kamduru, claimed he acted in self-defense after being attacked while sleeping.
• Police arrested Ochieng at the scene, and while the deceased could not be identified, Ochieng was convicted based on his guilty plea and a pre-sentencing report has been ordered before his sentencing on April 29, 2026.
