Kenyan hip-hop pioneers Ukoo Flani Mau Mau have announced their return, reigniting a movement that blended music with social commentary and resistance.

• The group, formed from the merger of Ukoo Flani (Mombasa) and Mau Mau (Nairobi) in the late 1990s, is known for its raw lyrics and politically charged edge.
• Key members included Sharama, Vigeti, Ibra Da Hustla, MC Kah, Kitu Sewer, and Cannibal.
• They have released a new project titled Ndiyo Hii, marking their official comeback in April 2026.
