The Energy Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) will implement three new charges on electricity bills starting April 2026, impacting households and businesses nationwide.

• Consumers will face a Foreign Exchange Fluctuation Adjustment of Plus 123.41 Cents per kWh due to currency movements.
• The Water Resource Management Authority (WRMA) levy will add 1.54 cents per kWh, particularly affecting hydropower.
• A significant Fuel Energy Cost Charge (FECC) of Plus 347 Kenya cents per kWh will be added to cover fuel costs for power generation.
