Mali's Minister of Defence, Sadio Camara, was killed in a suicide truck bombing targeting his residence near Bamako, amidst a wave of coordinated rebel attacks across the country.

• Camara died from wounds sustained while engaging attackers, with at least three of his family members also reported killed.
• The attacks were carried out by jihadist militants affiliated with Al-Qaeda (JNIM) and separatist groups like the Azawad Liberation Front (FLA).
