Augustus Muli, National Liberal Party (NLP) leader, has vowed to confront leaders he accuses of "playing games with Ukambani’s future," particularly calling out Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for alleged double standards.

• Muli criticized Gachagua for previously blaming certain Ukambani politicians for the region's underdevelopment, only to now support them.
• He emphasized that his criticism is not tribal but aimed at defending the region's interests, stating, "If a Kamba leader betrays our people, I will name him. If a Kikuyu, Kalenjin, Luo, or Luhya leader uses our region as a pawn, I will name them too."
• Muli outlined the NLP's agenda for a "radical break" focusing on economic development, including reviving Kitui Textiles, establishing agro-processing plants, and fast-tracking the Thwake Dam.
