The Iten Affordable Housing Project in Iten, renowned as the “Home of Champions,” has reached 57% completion, aiming to address a housing shortage and boost the local economy.

The project, a flagship initiative by the State Department of Housing and Urban Development, is currently 57% complete against a 75% elapsed timeline.
Led by the Clerk of Works, Ian Wanga, the project employs up to 150 local workers, including skilled artisans and engaging the Jua Kali sector and the Youth Empowerment Program.
The development promises improved living standards with self-contained units and reliable water supply, echoing President William Ruto's vision of the housing programme as a "national empowerment engine."
