Four critically endangered mountain bongos have been repatriated from the Czech Republic to Kenya, marking a significant step in conservation efforts to restore the species to its natural habitat.

• The arrival of the four males increases the total population at the Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy to 106, boosting genetic diversity.
