A burst water pipeline has caused a significant disruption in water supply to at least 13 estates in Nairobi, including Westlands, Lang’ata, and Karen, following an incident near Gigiri on Friday, May 1.

• The affected areas are served by the Kabete Reservoirs, resulting in reduced or completely interrupted water services.
• The Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company (NCWSC), in collaboration with the Athi Water Works Development Agency (AWWDA), is conducting emergency repairs.
• Normal supply is expected to resume by Saturday, May 2, around 6am, with water bowser services available for priority cases.
