Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has unveiled new designs for the Nithi Bridge, a project costing nearly Ksh7.5 billion aimed at significantly reducing road accidents on a known black spot.

• The redesigned bridge will feature pillars up to 100 meters tall, making it taller than a 30-storey building.
• The Ministry of Roads and Transport is funding the project, which is being constructed by a Chinese firm.
• Construction is expected to take 24 months, with completion anticipated by early 2028.
