The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has successfully intercepted illicit drugs valued at approximately Ksh 10.6 million at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA). The drugs, identified as methamphetamine, were destined for transit to the Philippines.

The seized methamphetamine weighed 1,320 grams and was concealed within handbags.
The operation was conducted by a multi-agency team led by the Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU) at the United Parcel Service-G4S facility on May 6.
This incident follows previous interceptions of similar drugs at JKIA, highlighting an ongoing battle against narcotics trafficking.
