United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has arrived in Nairobi to attend the Africa Forward Summit 2026, a forum focused on the continent's development agenda.

• The summit is co-hosted by Kenya's President William Ruto and French President Emmanuel Macron.
• Guterres was greeted by Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale upon arrival.
• While in Kenya, Guterres will also participate in the groundbreaking for a Sh44.2 billion expansion project at the United Nations Office at Nairobi.
